CABO MONDEGO SECTION OF PORTUGUESE SURREALISM

Rik Lina, one of the members of the Cabo Mondego Section of Portuguese Surrealists had the courtesy and friendship of sending us the following informative text about that surrealist organization:

Started in 2008 by poet Miguel de Carvalho and painter Rik Lina - who met for the first time in 2007 on a project of a book of the correspondence of their mutual friend Artur Cruzeiro Seixas. They were neighbors in Figueira da Foz in the Cabo Mondego region.

During the international exhibitions they organized in Coimbra - Lisbon - Lagoa in 2008-2009 the Section expanded with the painter Seixas Peixoto and poet Joáo Rasteiro. Later more painters and poets joined., some only temporary. The Section was also joined by visitors from abroad, friends out of the international conglomerate of surrealists.
